Vikki Salas is an Assistant Director at West Cumbria Rivers Trust, and leads the West Cumbria Catchment Partnership covering the North-Western Lake District – the boroughs of Allerdale and Copeland in Cumbria. This is a largely rural area containing the north and western areas of the Lake District National Park and the flat land south of the Solway estuary. They cover a large number of river catchments, split into three areas: Rivers Waver and Wampool, Derwent and Ellen, and the West coast rivers which flow from the Lake District fells to the sea.
